ENDORSEMENTS BY BECKY (now again a thing)

When I was in high school, I got really into calling the customer service numbers on products that I liked to congratulate them on a job well done. I didn't really expect anything in return (though I always gladly accepted a promo t-shirt or a coupon); I just liked sharing what I enjoyed. Every so often, modern-day Becky gets the hankering to endorse a product, but there's little follow-though. Because, like, why?

WELL, now, in these “weird times,” I want to tell EVERYONE about all my faves that have been mainstays during the shelter-in-place in an effort to put it out there in the universe to keep these companies thriving, and also, kinda because I miss LiveJournal.

Time to kick it off with PARKSIDE FARMERS MARKET!

Taraval and 16th Ave

It's my favorite produce store. They have better seasonal fruit longer than any other store I go to (sometimes you can buy persimmons AND figs at the same time), their fresh herbs are like a dollar, and they have every dried herb and spice you (well, I) can think of. They also have a wide selection of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food (like the 4lb jar of tahini currently in our refrigerator) and fancy olive oil and inexpensive rose water, and recently, they upped their dry-goods game by adding a ton of gluten-free flours and mixes. I love them.

Oh, also, all of the people who work there are super nice.

Here's a picture of some food we made from Adam's last shopping adventure!

Fried eggplant, homemade hummus, yogurt with mint and garlic, cucumber, and (the only thing we didn't get at Parkside besides the panko), radishes

And below is the beautiful leftovers sando I made everyday for a week
