PianoFight!
In November 2015, I was in my first PianoFight Production, a collaboration with The Dark Room of It's a Wonderful Life. After a performance one night, I ran into Andy Strong, who encouraged me to audition for their New Faces Day. So I did. And Andy cast me in PianoFight's house sketch troupe, Stop Hating Imagination Time Show Revival. Our first show of many in 2016 was in February. In March, I stepped in last minute to play Catwoman in another Dark Room collab, Batman: The Series: The Play. In June, I played the comedic lead in Mission CTRL's Duck Lake. In August, I was in FaultLine's Ice Cream Sandwich Incident. Then the SHIT Show Revival went on a weekend creativity team bonding retreat in Parajo Dunes and leveled up as colleagues AND friends. I volunteered in the photo booth at the Halloween exFEARience Party, exciting and scaring patrons as Zombie Jessie Spano. Our last SHIT Show of the year featured the most new material, including my first SHIT sketch about the importance of calcium.
Last night, the PianoFight Creative Company inducted 22 new members, including the entirety of S.H.I.T. Show Revival. I feel incredibly honored and super, duper stoked. As I told absolutely anyone who would listen, I feel like PianoFight and I have been dating the last year and we just made it official.
